Piece tools[edit | edit source]

The tools described in this section have been designed to create new pattern pieces which could then be modified in Piece Mode.

Important note:Select main path of objects in a clockwise direction. Hold down theShift to reverse curve direction or use Ctrl to keep curve direction. Do not select the starting node at the end again.
You may edit all properties later in Piece mode
  • Piece name: A unique piece name is mandatory

  • Point: Node added as an anchor
  • Piece: Select the pattern piece to which you wish to add the anchor nodes

  • Nodes: Selected nodes

Add Internal Path (Shortcut I, P)[edit | edit source]

Used to create markings on the pattern piece
Select the nodes and curves along the path to be printed onto the pattern. Press Enter to complete the selection. Name the path, choose whether an internal path or custom seam allowance, the type of line and which pattern piece it must be added to.
  • Name: Name of internal path
  • Type: Choose internal path or custom seam allowance
  • Linetype: Specify the linetype
  • Piece: Choose the pattern piece that you wish to add the internal path to
  • Cut on fabric: It’s supposed to idicate whether you want internal paths included in the cut path (layout) when using a cutter to cut the pattern pieces. Enabling the cut on fabric will set the color to black in the layout - which is usually the color that gets cut.
