Select the '''Configuration''' icon in the left vertical menu.
===Save===

<!--T:22-->
* '''Auto-save modified pattern Interval''': Seamly2D's default auto-save setting will save your pattern file every minutes to a file named after your pattern file with '.autosave' as postfix. We recommend you leave this option selected because this prevents you from losing your data after a crash.

* '''Properties''': You can configure the default settings for new pattern pieces. You can change the settings for each pattern piece afterwards:
===User Defined Materials===
** '''Show Cut Line:''' Default is checked. This setting shows the line to be cut after the seam allowance is added. This setting can also be applied to each pattern piece in Details mode.
** '''Hide Seam Path:''' Default is un-checked. This setting prevents the seamline from showing on the pattern pieces under Detail or Layout once a seam allowance had been added.
** '''Forbid Flipping:''' Default is un-checked. This setting prevents pattern pieces to be flipped or reversed during the creation of the layout image. When a pattern piece is reversed, the labels will not be reversed. This can be confusing when placing pattern pieces on fabric. This setting can also be applied to each pattern piece in Details mode.
