Image tools[edit | edit source]

The tools described in this section have been designed to add background images as a guide for your own pattern.

Import Image (Shortcut Alt+I)[edit | edit source]

Add a new background image.
Important note:Please note that the images can not be saved inside the pattern file and that they are not affected by the undo and redo functions in the current version of the software.

You may want to take a screenshot of the image properties dialog before closing the software to be able to place the image identically when opening the software again.

  • Lock Image: Click on the locksymbol to lock or unlock the image and its properties
  • Name: Filename of added image
  • Unit: Click on the unitsymbol to switch units
  • X Position: Horizontal position of the image
  • Y Position: Vertical position of the image
  • Lock Aspect: Click on the locksymbol to lock or unlock the image aspect
  • Width: Width of the image. The dimensions and the scaling influence each other
  • Height: Height of the image. The dimensions and the scaling influence each other
  • X Scale: X scale of the image. The dimensions and the scaling influence each other
  • Y Scale; Y scale of the image. The dimensions and the scaling influence each other
  • Rotation: Rotation of the image
  • Opacity: Opacity of the image
You can modify the aspect, size and rotation of the image with your mouse, by clicking on the image and dragging the handles
